Costumed Children Invited Downtown for SAFE Halloween Fun
The Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA) and Tri Counties Bank present the 13th Annual Treat Street in Downtown Chico! Rain or shine on Wednesday, October 31st from 2-5pm, downtown merchants will offer treats for costumed children 12 and under. It’s simple…trick-or-treaters must wear a costume, bring a parent, and come Downtown ready for an adventure!!! Pick up the event program in City Plaza for details and be on the lookout for special “Treats Here” posters in the windows of participating businesses. To ensure the safety of all participants, local Rotary Club teams will be serving as crossing guards, but downtown streets will be OPEN to vehicle traffic during the event.
While no formal “event check in” is required, be sure to stop by City Plaza where there will be fun, family-friendly activities including the Treat Street Costume Contest, presented by Tres Hombres. The costume contest starts at 4pm and fabulous prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes in five different divisions, including Kids 0-3, Kids 4-7, Kids 8-12, Family/Group, and Canine! Enter the contest in City Plaza from 2-3:45pm. Participation is $5 and all contestants will receive a participation award.
This event is produced by the DCBA as an opportunity for safe, family-friendly Halloween FUN and to highlight Downtown Chico – the heart of our community!
This event is made possible by generous sponsors: Tri Counties Bank, Quadco Printing, Tres Hombres Restaurant, 92.7 BOB FM, Power 102, 106.7 ZROCK, FOX 20, MY TV and Chico News & Review.
