Avenue 9 Gallery and Art Guild presents a guild member showcase for the creativity of twenty art professionals in mediums of ceramics, sculpture, painting, glass-making, photography, jewelry and the creation of children’s books.  It runs from through 28 with regular hours of noon to 5pm Wednesday through Friday and extended hours Saturdays and Sundays, October 27 and 28 from 10am to 5pm.
Every day, one or more guild artists will demonstrate skills and welcome questions about their creative processes.  Visitors have a chance to watch clay, stone, and pigments being transformed into vehicles for expressive communication.  Hands-on experiences, such as the computer manipulation of photographs, will be offered free, and there will be workshops at nominal fees such as one by visiting artist Ann Mitchell on using vintage cameras.
Everyone loves a bargain and “The Guild/ed Art Space” boasts two that are amazing.  “Blue Palette Specials” feature “studio clearing sales” of art, plus a $99 wall highlights over twenty small gems by guild artists.  How about art for free?  For no cost visitors who enter their e-mail addresses on a raffle sheet are eligible for an end of the show drawing with original art works as prizes.
