To start off the Spotlight this month, as we have both Easter and St. Patrick’s Day that fall in the month of March this year, everyone involved with The Digger Shopper & News would like to wish the community a very Happy Easter and to also say Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Holidays are often a time for enjoying fun activities with loved ones, as we go about the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Make sure to always take a second and remember how fleeting time can be and to enjoy each and every second for what it is worth.
As many can see when they pass through the area, there is a lot of great stuff going on in Downtown Oroville as of late. With all of the construction and remodeling going in to local business store fronts and the activities that take place, whether through the Wednesday Night Farmer’s Market, or one of the other events that take place in conjunction with the Oroville Downtown Business Association, one thing remains to be said. That is, the downtown area is hustling and bustling with a lot of great stuff and is composed of a lot of great people that want to see downtown flourish and grow. In terms of the Downtown Farmer’s Market, this will be back again this year. Starting on March 16th, this is a great opportunity to sample some of the great fruits and vegetables, as well as crafts and other information that our community has to offer. A lot of work and heartfelt desire goes into the planning of this event, so make sure to come down and take advantage of this fun gathering of good food and fun people.
In keeping with the downtown area, the ODBA is putting a lot of work and effort into playing a vital role in working on ways in which to help the downtown area grow and to bring fun activities into place that are always crowd pleasers and are guaranteed to be ways in which to get together with your nearest and dearest to have a “fun night on the town”. Whether it’s the favored First Friday events, Feather Fiesta Days parade, Salmon Festival, or the Parade of Lights, the downtown area of our community is flourishing with growth and excitement. With that being said, make sure to come on down to the downtown area to see what is going on. At the end of the day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. For a community that is built upon a rich history, the changes and efforts that are being put into the downtown area, truly adhere to the history of the area but also, seek to take that history and to build upon it to make it even better.
In closing, please make sure to take advantage of some of the many wonderful offers that can be found in The Digger Shopper & News.
