August means a lot of things for a lot of different people. One such example would be that, with it being August that means that school is just about ready to start up again for many students, both young and old. Time to go back to the daily grind of homework and listening to teachers is a large part of what the return to school routine typically entails. For updated registration information and important calendar details if the plan is to attend college this fall, two important websites to look at: www.butte.edu & www.csuchico.edu. Starting college is hectic enough, so these websites provide the necessary information to help make that transition possible and for those that have already ventured into the daily grind and are returning from summer break, the details provided from these two educational institutions are a necessary way to get caught up and to make sure that the semester is started off on the right foot.
For the younger students, specifically those attending K-12 institutions in the area, it is also important to check in with the respective school districts, as they too can also have valuable information that will come in handy, so that these students are also able to start their school year off on the right foot. For the Oroville Union High School District (OUHSD), their website is www.ouhsd.org. For those students attending any of the schools in the Oroville City Elementary School District (OCESD), their website is www.ocesd.org. In Thermalitto, such information can be obtained through www.tusd.org. In Palermo, parents can obtain important school information from the Palermo School District through their URL located at www.palemroschools.org.
Finally, for those students registered through the Golden Feather School District, this information can be obtained by interested parties through their URL located at gfusd.org. The information on these websites is imperative to have when it comes to the pursuit of ensuring that all students, whether K-12 or college, are able to go about their academic pursuits as efficiently as possible.
Taking things into a different direction, after pursuing the website for the Oroville Chamber of Commerce, a part of the local history of the area is being celebrated, with the birthday of John Bidwell being celebrated on 8/10/14. A man that has largely been viewed as being a considerable part of the community of Butte County and whose legacy still continues to be present, even after death.
