For this month, it is a business bonanza.  Every community is built, to one extent or another, by the businesses in the area that help feed the economy through the jobs that they provide and the impact that these businesses ultimately have on the overall cultural fabric of the communities that they are a part of.  In the case of the City of Oroville, this would be no different as Oroville would have a diverse sampling of businesses that provide a variety of goods and/or services and with that, influence the climate of the town and add a spice and sense of variety to the overall picture of the town.
So whether you want to do the following; sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee at a local treasure, get your swimming pool ready with a reliable local business, have a nice sit down dinner that ensures good conversation will also take place, have your pictures taken by the pros, or to be able to take a glimpse of quality jewelry and craftsmanship, these businesses provide a sense of quality in their own way and with that, have become a part of Oroville’s past in many ways.  In that respect, they would be a part of the city’s present time and ideally, move on into the future.
For the coffee lover, or someone that enjoys the opportunity to have a cold drink and a danish, while at the same time being able to catch up with an old friend, Lots’a Java is the place to go.  A local favorite for many years, the coffee house continues to provide a good cup of coffee and the chance to enjoy the company of your neighbors in the community.  With two locations in town, it’s double the chance to get a great cup of the latest brew, iced latte or other hot or beverage.  Offering a variety of food items as well, this is the place to go to get the most out of your desire for a coffee house experience that values tradition and quality.  So head on over either one of the two locations in town; 1661 Feather River Blvd or their other store located on Table Mountain Blvd.  To get to the Mountain Location if you’re coming from Thermalitto: turn left on Table Mountain from Grand Avenue and you’ll find it on the right hand side, just past Valero, or 116 Table Mountain Blvd.
With the weather that has come to be down as variety at its most interesting, it’s never too soon to start thinking about your swimming pool if you have one.  To get it ready for the season.  With the options available, in terms of businesses that service the needs of most pool owners, one company would stand out in the process.  That is, Grant’s Pools.  Owned and operated by local residents that would pride themselves on quality and reliability, this would be a company to use for any and all of your pool needs.  Honest and down to earth owners whose goal it is to provide for the needs of their customers with a crew that is friendly and competent, these people can’t and shouldn’t be passed up.  Officially known as Bob Grant’s Water & Pool Clinic and is located at 3022 Olive Highway, they can be reached at 532-8830.
