League of Women Voters to Hold Candidate Forums

The League of Women Voters of Butte County invites the public to a Chico City Council Candidates Forum on Monday, October 15 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Chico City Council Chambers, 411 Main Street.  Eleven candidates are vying for four seats, including incumbents Mayor Ann Schwab and Bob Evans. In addition to the incumbents, others running for Chico City Council include: Andrew Coolidge, Dave Donnan, Lisa Duarte, Dave Kelley, Sean Morgan, Tami Ritter, Kimberly Rudisill, Toby Schindelbeck, and Randal Stone.

Other League-sponsored forums and election-related public events include:

• Tuesday, October 9 at the Medical Specialty Center Conference Room, 284 Spruce St., starting at 7 p.m. for Pros & Cons of State Ballot Initiatives

• Monday, October 22 at Paradise Town Hall, 555 Skyway, starting at 7 p.m. for candidates for Paradise Unified School District, Supervisor Dist. 5 and Paradise Town Council

• Wednesday, October 24 at Durham Memorial Hall, starting at 7 p.m. for candidates for Durham Unified School District, along with a Pros & Cons of State Ballot Initiatives

• Wednesday, October 24 at Oroville Branch Library, starting at 7 p.m. for Pros & Cons of State Ballot Initiatives
