Harvest Fest Captures Magic Of Fall Celebration

“Free Family Fun” is the theme at the Harvest Fest celebration on Saturday, October 27th from 11am to 3pm at the beautiful Visitor Center set amid the fall colors of the forested Lake Oroville State Recreation Area.

Under the shadow of the four-story observation towers, this event is a blending of the modern and the traditional capturing the essence of this unique State Parks facility, making it perfect setting for a fall festival that mixes entertaining and education with a flair that makes park interpreters program a hit in Butte county.

Free parking and admission spell a fun day for the whole family packed with activates like face painting, a cake walk, bean bag toss, mask decorating, and the movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”  and spooky programs on Bats and Coyotes!

“Good eaten” that is easy on Dad’s wallet, make for a fun lunch can include such fall treats as corndog, popcorn, Pumpkin pie, sodas, and hot apple cider! You’ll want to make a day of this! Rainy fall weather won’t damper our spirits under our patio cover. Come one, come all, rain or shine! The Visitor center is above the Oroville Dam at the end of Kelly Ridge Road, two miles up the hill from highway 162.
