Time to Roll up our sleeves for Gold Nugget Days 2014
If you feel that your management and organizational skills have been idle for too long, why not dust ’em off and give this town-wide annual event the benefit of your expertise? You’ll find your involvement satisfying and rewarding – and heck, you’ll make a lot of new friends!
Dave Raymond, Chairman of the 2014 Gold Nugget Days Celebration for the Gold Nugget Museum, is beating the drums once again for some dedicated volunteers. No matter what your age, he can use your help. You’ll find the volunteering part satisfying, and it’ll make you feel good. The fun part is free! The first meeting for the Celebration Committee will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Gold Nugget Museum, 502 Pearson Road in Paradise.
Several planning committees are in need of Chairpersons to manage and coordinate the many details involved in making Gold Nugget Days a rip-roaring success.
The 2014 Gold Nugget Days event schedule includes the Gold Nugget Queen’s Contest, of course. On Friday night there will be a v-e-r-y formal black-tie “Highlanders & Miners Ball“ presented by the Museum and the Butte County Scottish Society. So get out that tuxedo, formal gown, or kilt if you have one.
After the noon-time Town Parade and Donkey Derby on Saturday, we’ll again be offering a traditional evening favorite, the politically savvy and sassy, laugh-a-minute melodrama – with a matinee on Sunday afternoon.
C’mon down folks…we’re awaitin’ on ya!
