Holiday Craft Faire, November 22
When was the last time you gave or received a memorable locally made or produced gift?
The 6th annual Holiday Craft Faire will be held at the Oroville Municipal Auditorium at the intersection of Montgomery and Myers Streets in downtown Oroville on Saturday, November 22 from 10 am to 6 pm. This is an indoor event featuring hand-crafted and locally made items for sale as gifts and for home use.
The creativity and ingenuity of local craftspeople will be available in such handmade items as herbal soaps, wooden ping pong ball shooter toys, hand-knitted apparel, quilow (quilt-pillow in one), microwave potato bakers, matted local photos, couch cozys, locally grown mandarin oranges, metal and wood creations.
Santa will be on hand along with some elves. Charles Dickens characters including Scrooge and Tiny Tim will be there. Authentic Mexican food prepared in the kitchen will be on sale, and raffles of crafters’ creations will be held frequently. This is an all ages, admission free event.
Pictured is Margie Cline who raises alpacas, collects and spins their wool and knits and fashions it into useful and decorative items as scarves, hats, bags and purses.
KRBS Radio and Feather River Recreation and Parks District are pleased to present this opportunity for you to buy from local craftspeople. The items on sale and on display did not travel thousands of miles, they are created locally, and you are invited to meet the people who created them.
