Oroville Amateur Radio Society
On September 9, the Oroville Amateur Radio Society (OARS) will be seeking persons interested in taking a one-day training class to earn an amateur “Technicians Class” license. The training class is planned for October 4 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and will be followed by a short morning session on October 5 with the final exam given in Chico that afternoon.
Persons interested in this training should plan to meet with Bill Cross on September 9 at 7 p.m. at the Oroville Adult School, 78 Table Mtn. Blvd.
Another amateur radio class will be on-going for preparation to qualify for the General Class license. It will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m., starting on September 23. There is no cost except the price of a study manual.
