Free “Welcome to Medicare” Workshops
PASSAGES Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) is announcing its first series of free workshops entitled “Welcome to Medicare.” These workshops are targeted specifically to people who are going to be eligible for Medicare, regardless of age, or who have recently enrolled in Medicare.
A two-hour workshop will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 and will be repeated on August 7 and October 9. Workshops will be held at the Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD), 545 Vallombrosa Ave. in Chico. Reservations are required by calling 898-6717 or emailing tfassieux@csuchico.edu
Changing how one’s health care is covered can have severe financial consequences, and people should not be swayed by aggressive promotions, without thorough research. This workshop is designed to give unbiased information from a trusted agency.
