Shubert’s Named in Top 4
Shubert’s Ice Cream & Candy, at 178 E. 7th Street in Downtown Chico, has just been named one of the top 4 finalists in Good Morning America’s “Best Scoops Challenge.” Check out the link for more info: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=4635848&page=1.
Shubert’s is a fourth-generation, family-run business that prides itself on the quality of its homemade ice cream and candies, and now it has the chance to be named the best ice cream store in America! And of all coincidences, the contest winner will be announced on May 25th, which is Shubert’s 70th Anniversary, and they will be throwing a big anniversary celebration!
The Good Morning America TV crew was filming at Shubert’s on May 14, and a great many Chico citizens were on hand to support this longtime Chico, and actually all of Butte County, favorite. I know that Kasey Pulliam-Cowan and Nathan Pulliam must be very proud, and I keep thinking how proud Kay would have been.
