Friday Night Concerts in Chico
Downtown Chico will kick off the 31st Annual Friday Night Concert series Friday, May 9th. Located in the spectacular City Plaza, the newly remodeled venue has an exciting water feature, impressive bandstand, restroom facilities and plenty of seating. This free Chico tradition, hosted by the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA), is held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. weekly through September 26th.
Friday Night Concerts are a great way to kick off the weekend! Known as “Chico’s best place to hear live music”, the Friday Night Concerts feature a variety of local talent with performances ranging from blues to Dixieland jazz and from country to reggae. The event is popular with both community members and visitors alike and draws large crowds into the heart of the city each week.
Concert-goers are encouraged to pick up dinner-to-go at a favorite downtown restaurant, bring a picnic or enjoy a tasty treat from one of the food vendors available on site. Please no glass containers, alcoholic beverages or animals allowed at the events. During the months of June, July and August children will have a creative outlet at “Art in the Park”, a free-interactive project sponsored by the Chico Art Center.
