New Benches for Downtown Oroville
The Oroville Downtown Business Association (ODBA) Beautification Committee has acquired new benches for the downtown area. These benches will replace the existing benches and give a touch of nostalgia. Shown here testing one of the new benches are (clockwise from bottom right) Charlie Miller with the City of Oroville, Bob Buskirk from the Oro Dam Cruisers Car Club, and John Casner from Betty Jeans, all members of the ODBA Beautification Committee.
The benches are made of 90 percent recycled material and were purchased through a grant received by the City. “We have 12 new benches to install so far and hope to get more so there can be more places around the downtown area to stop, rest, and enjoy our special downtown area,” explained John Casner, Chairperson for the committee. |
