PAWS 7th Annual Poker Walk, April 26

April 26th is the date to come and join the PAWS (Promotion of Animal Welfare Society) of Butte County annual Poker Walk. Walkers will have a choice of 2 different “walks” so that everyone can play. Walkers can choose to go on either a 2 mile walk to the river or a 20 yard walk in the park. The 2 mile walk will start at the PAWS Thrift and Gift shop parking lot at 2075 Baldwin Avenue in Oroville and will loop through historic downtown Oroville, along the river and back to the thrift store. The park walk will be in the picnic area next to the parking lot and check-in area.

Registration and check-in will begin at 9:00 a.m. The last walker leaves at 9:30, so please be on time. Walkers pick up a card from 5 different stations during the walk. The top 3 poker hands win great prizes. There will be great raffle prizes, too! Donation/Entry fee is $15 if you sign up ahead of time or $18 on the day of the walk. Refreshments will be included. This walk is PAWS 2nd largest fundraiser for the year and it is always great fun. Not to mention, it really helps the animals of Butte County. Our goal this year is to have at least 125 participants.
