“The Music Man,” April 18-27
Professor Harold Hill sings “We got trouble” in Meredith Willson’s “Music Man” and in so doing incites a small town to buy a boy’s band and save the town from “pool”.
The annual Spring musical theater production held at the Oroville State Theater Performing Arts Center is this year being presented by the State Theater Arts Guild and the State Theater as a fundraiser for the restoration of the historic vaudeville-era movie palace. The production team is headed up by Shirley Bugado as director, followed by Trish Young as choreographer and music direction will be provided by Deborah Wigeley.
Dr. Lloyd Roby will conduct members of the Paradise Symphony.
Tickets for adults are $20. There will be a children’s ticket at $10 for children 12 and younger. The show runs from Friday, April 18th until Sunday, April 27th with evening performances beginning at 7:30 and Sunday matinees beginning at 2pm.
Tickets are available at Oroville City Hall, Discount Books, Galeria Mexicana and CW Properties in Oroville and in Chico at Zucchini & Vine.
