Wildflower Festival, April 5 & 6

The California Dept. of Fish and Game has brought a Nature Festival to Oroville!  On Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, the Feather River Recreation and Park District will sponsor the first annual Oroville Wildflower and Nature Festival.
The event will be a family-oriented, educational affair showing off the greater Oroville area’s biodiversity.
River Bend Park, on the Feather River, will be the hub for the festival. Native plant sales, kayak rentals, food, pony rides, wildlife art, mountain bike rentals, and multiple displays by the Native Plant Society, the Audubon Society, U.S. Forest Service, State Parks, American White Water, California Dept. of Fish and Game, and more will be featured at Riverbend.
Also at the park, you may sign up for guided tours to Table Mountain, Feather Falls, the Oroville Wildlife Area, the Dan Beebe Trail, and the Feather River (above the Nature Center, on the water in the Diversion Pool, etc.).
Children will be entertained by Smokey Bear, a Bounce House, and nature-related crafts.
For more information on this free event that connects people with nature, please call the Feather River Recreation and Park District at 533-2011.
