Closing Day at Forbestown Museum, September 4, 2010
Summer is passing and closing day for the Yuba Feather Museum, located at 19096 new york flat road in the little Foothill town of forbestown, is fast approaching. Saturday, september 4th plan to attend the peddlers fair and the final living history day of the season complete with costumed characters from the 1800s. Vintage clothing, jewelry, hats, costumes, antiques and collectibles; treasure of all kinds will be on sale. Vendor tables are only $10 and you can call 675-0219 to reserve one.
Take a tour of gold trader flat, a replica town of long ago. Baked goods, tasty snacks from the pantry and icy cold bottles of sarsaparilla to wash it all down will be available. The museum is well maintained and has facinating pictues and items that depict our local history. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm and of course, parking and admission is free. Well see you there!
