E Waste Recycling Drop Off Day, July 17, 2010
What are you supposed to do with that annoying old computer collecting dust in the garage or that funky VCR hiding in the back of the closet? You know they have toxic chemicals that should be disposed of properly or you risk polluting the environment, but how do you dispose of it?
Well, you bring it to the ARC Store! Of course!! The ARC Store in cooperation with WTP will be hosting an E-Waste Drop Off Day Sat, July 17th from 9am to 1pm.
We will be accepting E-Waste at both our ARC Stores! Chico ARC Store is at 2020 Park Avenue (343.3666) and Oroville ARC Store is at 2745 Oro Dam Blvd (532.1272).
Bring us all your old electronics and well dispose of it in accordance with State Regulations, assures Brenda Easter, Chico ARC Store manager, Well take your CRTs (TVs, monitors, laptops), all universal waste like radios, VCRs, keyboards, cell phones and more. Basically, well accept anything with a plug.
Clean out all that annoying junk! Support the Arc! Support the planet! All at the same time!!
Funds raised by this event will stay local and benefit the ARCs Family Support Programs! Since 1953, the ARC of Butte County has been providing high quality services for special needs children and adults with developmental disabilities. Now in 2010, The ARC serves approx 900 disabled individuals and their families in Butte & Glenn Counties.
