A Letter from FRSCA

To borrow a phrase from Mark Twain, the reports of our death are greatly exaggerated. Feather River Senior Citizens Association (FRSCA) is alive and well, contrary to reports earlier that we were closed and all programs were going to someone else. We have no idea where that idea originated, but want to inform the public of our actual situation.
One major change has taken place at 1335 Myers Street. After thirty plus years, Community Action Agency is no longer providing the Senior Nutrition lunches in our facility. They have moved to a new location at 2450 Oro Dam Blvd., Ste. S. We have been aware of this change for some time and have not been taken by surprise, as seems to have been reported. We are taking this opportunity to accomplish some needed repairs to the building, cleaning, painting, etc. Long range plans are in process and a new format for our programs with the theme Celebrating Seniors is being formulated. In August we anticipate an exciting activity in cooperation with Artists of River Town, details to be announced at a later date.
FRSCAs public activities are currently limited to bingo on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1 p.m. The public is invited to join us for these games. The large hall with small kitchen is available to rent, as has been done in the past. We have not gone away. Contact us at 533-8370 or online at frsca@comcast.net
