Fun, Interactive Field Trips Now Available for Youth

The 2010-2011 Chico Performances Field Trips have been announced and are now available for teachers to purchase. For the 2010-2011 school year, Chico Performances is presenting 23 Field Trips, all by the same professional artists Chico Performances presents during the evening performances.
The University Box Office will take orders by mail, fax or drop-off at the University Box Office window at Chico State until July 16. In order for all teachers to have equal access, a lottery of these orders will be filled on a random pick basis in the last week of July. Phone calls and walk-up orders will not be accepted during this time, but will be accepted after August 2, 2010.
Cost per seat for each field trip performance is just $4 ($6 for Peking Acrobats) and all Field Trips are geared toward children with a goal to educate and entertain. Field Trips usually start at 9:30 and/or 11:30 a.m. and run for 50 minutes. All Field Trips are held in Laxson Auditorium.
Complete Field Trip descriptions, times and a downloadable order form are available at www.chicoperformances.com.
I always love to sit in on the Field Trips, says Daran Goodsell, Chico Performance marketing coordinator. The performers are very relaxed, and they often talk about their instruments, the meanings of the dance or give some enlightenment on the performance. The field trips are interesting because they educate, not just entertain.
From the twists and tumbles of the Peking Acrobats to the magic of Spencers Theater of Illusion, Chico Performances is presenting a diverse and exciting new series of Field Trips for the 2010-2011 school year.
