Paradise Garden Club Tour, June 5-6, 2010
The Paradise Garden Club invites you to attend their 18th annual Paradise Garden Tour Saturday, June 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, June 6, Noon to 4 p.m. for a self-guided tour of six diverse local gardens. Your tour experience will include waterfalls, ponds, cacti gardens, bamboo gardens, and garden rooms. You will see the recovery of home and land after the 2008 Humboldt Wildfire through harvesting of lost trees, seeding of meadows, pastures, and lawns, use of stone walls, flower beds, and gardens. Included in the tour is a plant sale, boutique, compost demonstations by a Master Composter and refreshments.
This year two lucky ticket holders will win either a $400 Japanese Maple or Water Fountain, donated by Paradise Garden Center. Tickets are $15 and available at these locations: Magnolia Gift and Garden, Little Red Hen Nursery, Little Red Hen Nursery Gift Shop, Little Red Hen Kids and Kitchen in Chico, Lambert Feed and Garden in Oroville, Paradise Chamber of Commerce, Fir Street Gallery, HeavenScent Candles, Stationers Hallmark, Reids Nursery, Mendons Nursery and Paradise Garden Center in Paradise and Whispering Pines Veterinary in Magalia. Proceeds go to civic beautification projects, youth group activities and college horticulture scholarships. Come relax, dream and enjoy the charm and diversity of these Paradise Gardens.
