PAWS Poker Walk, May 15, 2010
Be sure and save Saturday, May 15 to come and join the PAWS (Promotion of Animal Welfare Society) of Butte County Poker Walk. Our walk is always a fun time for all ages. Participants will have a choice of two different walks so everyone can join in the fun. We have a two-mile walk to the river and a 20-yard park walk.
The two-mile walk starts at PAWS Thrift & Gift Shop, 2075 Baldwin Ave. in Oroville. It will loop through historic downtown, along the river and back to the shop. The park walk is in the park that is next to PAWS parking lot.
Registration and check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the last walker leaves at 9:30; so, dont be late. Walkers pick up a card from five separate stations during the walk. The top three poker hands win super prizes. There will also be raffle prizes.
Donation/entry fee is $15, if you pre-register or $18 the day of the walk. This includes refreshments. Dogs on leashes are welcome, if they play well with others.
This walk is PAWS 2nd largest fund raiser for the year. We have even more animals that need help this year, due to the weak economy. More and more owners have less money for animals needs. Our goal for this year is at least 125 walkers. Please come and help us help the animals; they depend on us.

Our thrift shop is accepting donations of quality, gently used or new items such as clothing, jewelry, furniture, and household items. We also need towels and blankets for our low cost spay/neuter clinic.
