Downtown Oroville Business Association is Celebrating Women’s Hi
In 1987 Congress passed a Congressional Resolution designating March as Women’s History Month. 2010 is the 30th Anniversary of the National Women’s History Project. The 2010 theme is “Writing Women Back into History”. The Oroville City Council will be offering a City proclamation designating March as Women’s History Month, Tuesday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Downtown Oroville businesses will be celebrating Women’s History Month by featuring in their windows or inside their stores, a world famous woman or a Butte County Woman, along with info about that woman. So come on downtown on lst Friday, March 5, 4-7 and meet some of these women and have some refreshments. The women will be featured in downtown shops all during the month of March.
