State Park Volunteer Program Begins on February 24, 2010

Volunteering at Lake Oroville Visitor Center provides area residents the opportunity to meet people from around the world and share Oroville’s interesting history and some of the unusual features that make our area so special.
Our thorough volunteer training program will begin February 24th, 10 AM to 4 PM, at the Visitor Center, 917 Kelly Ridge Road, Oroville, and continue for three weeks on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Call 538-2219 to secure an application and reserve your space.
As volunteers accrue experience, they can earn a Free Pass to enter all Northern Buttes District State Parks!  Time commitments are modest – only two four hour shifts each month   -- but many enjoy engaging our visitors and sign up for a shift every week!
Our volunteers are community ambassadors to the world.  You already know what makes Oroville special, its fun to share what you know.  With us you’ll learn more about the natural and cultural history around us, about State Parks, and all the recreational opportunities at Lake Oroville SRA.  This experience will make a difference in your life and in our community.  Call us today!   538-2219.
