Oroville Arts Commission and City Offer Free Conference January
A free conference, sponsored by the Oroville Arts Commission and the City of Oroville, will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, in the City of Oroville Council Chambers located at 1735 Montgomery Street from 10:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Participants will be given the opportunity to share information about what their organization does and what they see as opportunities for cooperation and growth. Tourism in Butte County is the name of the game and having strong, vibrant organizations will make visitors want to return.
Guest speaker, Debra Lucero of Lucero and Associates, will share insights on how to grow the arts in Butte County, how to get the word out about events, and most importantly, information about a non-profit organization that helps with grant writing. Freda Flint, Oroville Arts Commissioner said, “This is a great, fast-paced seminar that will provide pertinent information to groups and organizations that use grants as part of their funding source.” Mrs. Flint went on to say, “Debra brings a wealth of resources and knowledge to the table. We are excited about providing this free conference especially in these difficult funding times.”
