Tribute to Pink Floyd at State Theatre, November 21, 2009
HOUSE OF FLOYD, a musical and visual tribute to Pink Floyd, brings their show to the Oroville State Theatre, 1489 Myers St. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. HOUSE OF FLOYD re-creates the music of Pink Floyd along with their video and laser light show. Co-founded in 2005 by Mark Showalter (formerly of Gregg Allman and Friends), an extensive audition process produced seven experienced and talented musicians and vocalists from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Touted for their musical ability, years of experience, and love of Pink Floyd, each has over 25 years of performing alongside some of the greatest rock and roll musicians of our time. To its credit, HOUSE OF FLOYD has entertained audiences of all ages and sold out several shows in venues throughout California. They’ve also headlined the prestigious Ojai Classic Rock Festival in Ventura County, California two years in a row, presiding over some of the top tribute bands in California. HOUSE OF FLOYD has also caught the attention of audiences outside the United States and has been invited on more than one occasion to perform in India, most recently for the Sarrang Festival in Madras, India.
