R.F. Marcozzi Jewelers Celebrate 60th Anniversary
Rudy J. Marcozzi announced today that 2009 is Marcozzi Jewelers 60th year of business in downtown Oroville. Dad and Mom (Rudy Sr. and Della) opened their first shop in Oroville in 1949, upstairs in the State Theatre building. I am pleased and proud to say that we have enjoyed the Oroville area, the surrounding cities, and the many friends and customers we have made over the years.
One of the few jewelry manufacturing and repair shops in the Sacramento Valley area in the 1950’s, Dad (Rudy Sr.) earned an outstanding reputation as a master diamond setter and goldsmith.
By the time I started working in 1966, we were doing jewelry work for over 25 different jewelry stores from Sacramento to Carson City, Nevada. In the years since, we have continued to grow and expand. We built our existing jewelry store in 1978.
The jewelry industry is constantly changing. Through continuing education (Graduate Gemologist from The Gemological Institute of America), state of the art laser welding technology, product knowledge, consistent high quality Jewelry, exceptional customer service and many years of experience we have successfully stayed abreast of this changing market. My wife Stephanie and I travel to one of the industries largest Gem shows in Tucson, Arizona. This gives us the ability and opportunity to bring to our customers one of a kind designs and styles of jewelry in gemstones not normally found in a lot of jewelry stores. I also credit our ability to expand and stay competitive in today’s market to our highly efficient work force. Without the hard work and dedication of Rudy Sr., Mike, Rhonda, Michele, Wayne and Jeff (with almost 200 years combined experience) we would have not been able to remain as successful as we are.
To help celebrate this great milestone, Marcozzi Jewelers is having a 60th Year Anniversary free drawing, to be held during the Christmas Holiday season. There will be over $7,500.00 in fine jewelry given to the lucky winners! We are inviting everyone from Oroville and the surrounding communities to visit our store, fill out a ticket for our drawings, and enjoy the festivities and our beautiful Jewelry.
