Living History Day in Forbestown, September 5

Summer is passing and closing day for the Yuba Feather Museum, located on New York Flat Road in the small, foothill town of Forbestown, is fast approaching.  Saturday, September 5, plan to attend the Peddlers’ Fair and the final Living History Day of the season.  The event is complete with costumed characters from the 1800’s.
Vintage clothing, jewelry, hats, costumes, antiques, collectibles, and treasures of all kinds will be on sale.  Vendor tables are only $10, and you can call 675-0219 to reserve one.
Take a tour of Gold Trader Flat, a replica town of long ago.  Gunfighters will be on hand with their exciting re-enactments of robberies and gunfights in the streets of town.  Banjo pickers, guitar players and fast-footed dancers will perform.  Baked goods, tasty snacks, and icy cold bottles of sarsaparilla to wash it all down will be available.
Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and of course, admission is free.  We hope to see you there!
