First Friday in July
The fun starts in Downtown Oroville with a First Friday celebration on July 3rd beginning at 4 p.m. There will be Oro Dam Cruiser Cars on Bird Street from 4 to 7 p.m. along with kool treats on the street (free slices of watermelon while supplies last.) Look for the River Regatta Boat Display to showcase one of the July 4th Feather River events the following morning. Don’t miss the First Friday store specials and the other evening activities. The Free Movie in the Park, corner of Huntoon & Robinson Streets, with feature movie ‘Hitch’ sponsored by the City of Oroville. The movie starts at sunset but you are encouraged to come early with your blanket or chair and visit the YMCA Snack Shack. The Oroville Community Chorus & Oroville Community Concert Band will present their annual 4th of July show at 7:30pm on Friday with a second show at 1:30pm on July 4th. The concert will be at the State Theater, corner of Myers and Robinson Streets with tickets available at Betty Jean’s on Bird Street, Discount Books on Myers Street or Galeria Mexicana on Huntoon Street.
