Concerts in the Park, Every Thursday Night
The Feather River Recreation and Park Districts (FRRPD) Thursday night Concerts in the Park series will continue to provide free, fun, family-oriented entertainment through August 27. The Oroville concerts are held at Riverbend Park every Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., with concurrent shows scheduled for three of the rural areas within the District during July.
Weve had great attendance at the concerts this year, Bob Sharkey, FRRPD General Manager, said. Concerts in the Park are the place to be Thursday nights!
This years musical lineup includes several new bands and offers a wider variety of musical styles, including blues and fusion jazz.
Oroville concerts: (Riverbend Park)
• July 2: 8-Track Jam Attack
• July 9: Kaptain T & the Rois of 2morrow.
• July 16: Jim Halsey & the Nighthawks*
• July 23: Rube & the Rhythm Rockers*
• July 30: Jeff Pershing Band*
• August 6: Gravy Brain
• August 13: The Crawlers
• August 20: Three Fingers Whiskey
• August 27: Electric Circus
* indicates a rural concert is scheduled on the same night
Forbestown concert: (Forbestown Park)
• July 16 :Crossroads Band
Berry Creek concert: (Berry Creek Grange)
• July 23: Maypop Traveling Band
Bangor concert: (Bangor Community Park)
• July 30: Hot Flash!
There is also a childrens bounce house, drawings for great raffle prizes, food from Chuck Wagon BBQ, and ice cream sandwiches from Scoops Café.
